Born on November 21, 1967, Ken Block is a well-known American professional rally driver and entrepreneur. He belongs to Long Beach, California, where he was born and brought up. 

He began his career in rallying in 2005 with a Vermont SportsCar team. He participated in the 2006 Rally America National Championship, where he secured the second rank, overall. And by 2007, Ken Block amassed 19 podiums and 8 victories in rally events. 

In 2008, he competed in the Rally America National Championship, where he again finished second overall. And in 2010, he won the Rally competing in 100 Acre Wood for the 5th Consecutive time that broke the records set by John Buffum. 

In 2013, Ken Block participated in the top-ten of the Mexican rally where he received his first six points and scored a best ever 7th overall finish. Apart from that, Block has competed in many other action sports events, such as snowboarding, skateboarding and motocross.

The American Professional Rally Driver has an estimated net worth between $100 million and $200 million. According to reports, in 2012, Block had a $200 million fortune; however, it shrunk up to half by 2023. 

He is the owner of an extensive car collection and two large properties. His main residence was in Park City, Utah, along with another resident in Rancho Santa Fe, California. 

Block’s fortune comes from being the co-founder of DC Shoes, while he had also served as Chief Brand Officer of the company.

Block and his business partner, Damon Way, later sold DC Shoes for $87 million. In their first year, they made $1.5 million after setting up the company with a loan of $10,000 financed by Block’s parents. However, even after the sale, Ken Block still remained the Brand Vision Leader at DC Shoes. Up until his death, Block was the Head Hoonigan in Charge of the Hoonigan Industries.

Recent Accident of Ken Block 

Due to unfortunate events, Ken Block passed away in a snowmobile accident near Park City, Utah on Monday afternoon, January 2, 2023. 

The police state that he was riding the snowmobile down a steep slope, and that’s when the vehicle upended and it fell on top of him. He was riding in a group however at the time of the accident; he was alone.

The Sheriff’s office of Wasatch County made a statement about Ken Block’s death, confirming that he died.
